Speak About Speech Pathology Pty Ltd (ACN 616 142 379) trading as Successful Speechie Academy ("Successful Speechie Academy", "SSA", "we", "us" or "our") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting the personal information we collect and hold.

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, hold, use and disclose personal information when you interact with Successful Speechie Academy, including when you:

  • visit www.SuccessfulSpeechieAcademy.com;
  • subscribe to our emails or download free resources;
  • contact or make an enquiry with us;
  • purchase a Product or Service;
  • create an account;
  • participate in a course, training program or membership;
  • join the Preschool Language Accelerator™ ("PLA");
  • participate in the Clinical Thinking Hub or other member features; or
  • otherwise interact with Successful Speechie Academy.

We handle personal information in accordance with applicable Australian privacy laws, including the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles ("APPs").

Successful Speechie Academy is a professional education business and does not generally require identifiable health information about your clients in order to provide its Products and Services.

You must not provide identifiable client health information through the Clinical Thinking Hub or other SSA educational or member services unless we have expressly requested it and you are legally permitted to provide it.

Where we collect sensitive information, we will handle it in accordance with applicable privacy laws, including obtaining consent where required.

4.  Payment Information

When you purchase a Product or Service, payments may be processed by third-party payment providers.

Those providers may collect and process information such as your payment card or other payment information.

Successful Speechie Academy generally does not receive or store complete payment card details. We may receive transaction information such as the amount paid, payment status, transaction date and limited payment information required to administer your purchase.

9.  Clinical Thinking Hub

Certain Successful Speechie Academy membership options may include access to the Clinical Thinking Hub.

The Clinical Thinking Hub is intended for professional education and clinical reasoning support.

Clinical scenarios submitted to the Clinical Thinking Hub must be appropriately de-identified. You must not include a client's name, contact details, date of birth or other information that identifies, or could reasonably identify, the client or another person.

You are responsible for complying with your own professional, ethical, confidentiality, privacy, workplace and consent obligations when submitting clinical questions or scenarios.

If identifiable personal or health information is inadvertently submitted, we may remove, redact, restrict access to or delete that information as appropriate. We will otherwise handle any personal information we receive in accordance with applicable privacy law.

De-identified questions and scenarios may be retained, discussed and used by Successful Speechie Academy for the purpose of:

  • operating the Clinical Thinking Hub;
  • responding to the member's question;
  • providing professional education within Successful Speechie Academy; and
  • improving our educational Products and Services.

We will not intentionally use identifiable client information for marketing.

Any use of an identifiable member's testimonial, story or endorsement for marketing will be subject to appropriate permission or consent.

10.  How We Disclose Personal Information

We do not sell or rent personal information.

We may disclose personal information where reasonably necessary to operate Successful Speechie Academy, including to:

  • website and learning-platform providers;
  • payment processors;
  • email and communications providers;
  • cloud storage and hosting providers;

11.  Kajabi and Other Technology Providers

Successful Speechie Academy currently uses Kajabi to provide aspects of our Website, checkout, digital Products, customer accounts and member portal.

When you create an account, make a purchase or use the member portal, personal information may be processed through Kajabi's systems.

We also use third-party technology providers for functions such as payment processing, email communications, analytics, cloud storage and business administration.

These providers may have their own privacy policies and data-handling practices.

Successful Speechie Academy Products and Services are designed primarily for speech pathologists, speech pathology students and other relevant professionals and are not directed to children.

We do not intentionally seek to collect identifiable personal or health information about a member's child clients through our professional education Products and Services.

Where a Speechie uses an SSA resource with a child as part of their own clinical practice, that Speechie or their organisation remains responsible for the collection, use, storage and disclosure of the child's personal and health information in their clinical practice.

Members must not submit identifiable information about child clients to the Clinical Thinking Hub.

20.  Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to our business, technology, information-handling practices or legal obligations.

The current version will be published on our Website together with the date it was last updated.

Where appropriate, we may also notify affected individuals of significant changes.
